Bio/Contact

Throughout my 10-year career working as an IT Professional, I have spent most of my free time learning game design, art and development.

Video games have always been a life-long passion of mine. My childhood consisted of playing story-rich titles like Shining Force, Final Fantasy 7, Metal Gear Solid and countless others. I would draw much of my inspiration from these titles and spend my time sketching and writing game ideas with hopes to one day learn how to develop them.

Studying game design has helped me achieve a lot of insight and appreciation toward everything that goes into making games. During my time at Full Sail University, I would reinforce all my learning with an ongoing self-taught approach by taking Udemy and Lynda.com courses. By digging deeper into C# scripting and the Unity3D game engine, I have been able to prototype game ideas to further learn the in’s and out’s of game development. I also explored some fundamentals in game art by modeling in Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Texturing in Substance Painter and optimizing assets in Unreal Engine 4 to better understand the pipeline.

By exploring all these different avenues, I was able to find my passion for Environment Art and continued to refine my skills and education further by attending Think Tank Training Centre specializing in Environment Art for Games.

Outside of my ambitious game development studies, I enjoy playing guitar and writing my own music. However, I must admit that even my guitar playing has become heavily influenced by video games now.. *cough* The Last of Us *cough* :]

It’s my goal to continue building upon my growing knowledge of art, design, technology and programming in order to one day join the many highly talented teams in the gaming industry!
